LEADING IN A DIGITAL WORLD: MAINTAINING RESILIENCE IN UNCERTAIN TIMES

With support from:

The pandemic has taken an immense toll on news managers and our wider industry which has been felt emotionally, physically and financially. This is what we know from recent studies:

65% of managers say they’re finding it more difficult than usual to perform their job effectively during the pandemic.

More than one in three leaders admit to struggling with creating a strong and unified team culture as remote work has become more common.

70% of the journalists and media managers rated the psychological and emotional impacts of dealing with the COVID-19 crisis as the most difficult aspect of their work.

The Self-Investigation has created a course specifically designed to empower media managers to navigate these current challenges more skillfully. Learn more about the course:

The disruption, uncertainty and hyperconnectivity in today’s journalism industry have brought new pressures and demanded new skills from newsroom leaders. This course is aimed at media managers who want to sustain and enhance their own well-being and lead healthier and more effective teams.

This online training will offer a supportive space for participants to learn to lead with greater self-awareness. It will also offer you the chance to integrate tools, as part of your daily practice, to manage stress, enhance digital wellness and strengthen your resilience. This will mean that a focus on well-being becomes part of your routine and that of your team, rather than a distant luxury.

This interactive and practical training is designed for media managers who feel increasingly uncertain, demotivated, or even overwhelmed by the demands they face as a result of the way the pandemic has affected their own and their teams’ ways of working.

This course is right for you if you find yourself saying yes to any of the following:

Do you want to boost your resilience and help your remote team overcome exhaustion so you can all thrive and not simply survive?

Are you struggling to navigate the competing demands of being disconnected from your colleagues and being hyper-connected to your work?

Do you want to learn tools to role model effective leadership while looking after yourself?

Do you long for a space where you can reflect on your professional challenges and explore solutions with a like-minded group of colleagues?
